From the
video “Talk Dirty to Me,” which earned them the title certification of
VH1’s Number One Hair Band to their most recent video for “Power to
the People,” which the band recorded last summer, this video collection
combines the two original Poison video releases and adds a few others,
namely “So Tell Me Why,” “Stand,” and “Until You Suffer Some
(Fire & Ice).” As an added bonus along with the DVD, Bret
Michaels has written some rather interesting liner notes describing what
went into these video hits. He
mentions locations, friction among the band, when they first tasted
success, and a few tears that have been shed over the years.
For those
who never saw the videos despite the fact that Poison once flooded the
former video station MTV (I think everyone old enough to remember Poison
knows what I mean). The DVD
includes the memorable “I Won’t Forget You,” the party songs
“Nothin’ But a Good Time,” and “Unskinny Bop,” and of course
their biggest hit “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”
