ZETA BANE
3 Song Demo
Self-Financed Release |

|
Raw, female fronted NYC garage rock, Zeta Bane's
3 track demo CD features some rather diverse moments. The
flute solos on lead track "Static"
are rather stunning at first and then you realize their is something
special about this bands peculiar songwriting. "Run" has a
unique feel with a late 60's vibe creeping through its underbelly.
Once again the flute brings the song a completely different life of
its own. And no, Zeta Bane does not sound like Jethro Tull or
Marillion.
Zeta Bane have accomplished the virtually impossible...they sound
absolutely like nobody else! The only band I can even remotely compare Zeta
Bane to would be the raw feeling of Sweden's Sahara Hotnights.
Jump on the Zeta Bane bandwagon quick before everyone else finds out
about this extremely unique group of talented musicians.
Update
We recently received 3 more songs from Zeta Bane and once again,
they have gone against the grain in there quest to remain as unique
as possible. Monica's maniacal flute playing adds quite an
edge to the track "Player" and during the solo on "T.F.
Hippie". The vocals of Monica on this track call to mind
another edgy rocker who was ahead of her time by the name of Deborah
Harry (Blondie). The lyrics on "Rock N Roll Wannabe"
can be taken as very tongue in cheek or blunt and to the point
depending on your point of view. I also commend the band on
doing the 3 songs at a time releases as opposed to recording a full
disc and possibly having filler tracks (as is the case on so many
demo discs we receive). Zeta Bane continues to impress
and have a very bright future.
