Christian metal from Stockholm Sweden, Sons Of Thunder walk
along the fence of power metal and the tuned down 90's metal
style.
According to the their biography, "The music that we play is
Thunder Metal with lyrics that is intended to worship Jesus
Christ. This is a style of music we call: "Metal Praise"". The
lyrics are quite positive and the band is adamant in their
strong Christian beliefs.
"Load Aim Fire" sounds like a power metal version of Prong's
"Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck". The songs contains a cool
break into a long guitar solo by singer/guitarist Michael Hjelte.
Stylistically "I'll Be There" would be right at home on
Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell" or Fight's debut CD as would
"Atomic Power Praise".
Sons Of Thunder sound is quite thick for a 3 piece band and they
are not afraid to mix diverse styles into their songs. This
diversity is especially evident on "Exalt Him" which has
acoustic fretwork, a voice box and some very heavy electric
riffs.
