Punchline features
members of various metal bands that are popular throughout Europe
including Midnight Sun, Thunder, Talisman and Great King Rat.
This 2 song sampler features the vocals of Jakob Samuel and this
material is a departure from the traditional power metal leanings of
Midnight Sun, but features a more modern rock approach.
"Dominate" reminds me of the newer Queensryche material merged with
the guitar solos from the Operation: Mindcrime era. The
second track "Euphoria" calls to mind "Empire" era 'Ryche in terms
of song structure and vocal phrasings and sound.
If you like modern rock but are looking for musicians that can
actually play solos and a singer with a powerful voice, Punchline is
a band worth contacting.
