ELSEWHEN
Gates Of Time
Self-financed Release

Formed in Greece in 1995, Elsewhen is a power metal band with some slightly progressive influences at times. According to Elsewhen’s biography, “The fact is that we try to feel as free as possible when we make a new song, and it’s not easy for us to place a label on our music, because we don’t create with a label in our minds”.

Elsewhen’s “Gates Of Time” demo CD contains five tracks:

Dancers On The Edge
Keeper Of The Reign
Lives Yet To Come
Carpe Diem
Under Distance Spotlight

"Lives Yet To Come" and "Carpe Diem" are standout tracks featuring the passionate guitar work of Stavros St. John. St. John’s solos are intricate and show a strong sense of feeling rather than someone just playing scales. His guitar work gives the disc the vibe of pre-Malmsteen influenced power metal.

Chris Giouvanopoulos’ vocals often times are reminiscent of Harry “Tyrant” Conklin of Jag Panzer in terms of vocal phrasing and delivery. Giouvanopoulos possesses a powerful voice and is a valuable asset to the band.

”Gates Of Time” was recorded in 1998 and has a good production job behind it. So far the band has received positive reviews and this is no exception. If you prefer power metal with guitar solos that demand your attention instead of boring you with running up and down scales, Elsewhen is definitely a band for you to check out.

Elsewhen is currently looking for a record company to release a proper full length CD of their material. All interested parties can contact the band through the information provided below:
