A rather peculiar release from Athens, Greece, Damage Done
sounds like a cross between Type O Negative and American modern
alternative rock. Vocalist Nicky Kappas sounds like Peter
Steele at times but musically the band falters into the dirge of
bands like Staind and Nickelback. "Physicated Soul" is a
tortured song that has many odd peaks and valleys. The
best song of the bunch would be the rather atmospheric It's Only
Life Afterall. The vocals of Georgia Konstantinou are very
sweet. The band would be better served to have Georgia be
the lead vocalist. For my personal taste, I think the band
should AVOID the modern American rock vocal phrasings.
They are tired, worn out and quite borish. Sing with your
normal voice! Packaging wise, the band offers a professional
looking 10 song CD plus a bonus 2 video disc. I would
suggest the band get themselves a web site if they are seriously
committed to this project.
