Based out Italy and
influenced by the likes of Deicide, Death, and
Sepultura, Art Of Darkness plays a technical brand of death metal.
Formed in early 2000. Art Of Darkness' 2002 demo (their second
release) "Mind Suicide" contains 5 tracks of quality compositions
that display their proficiency for writing strong material and avoid
the pratfall of recording more songs than necessary just to have a
full-length CD. Vocalist Flavio alternates between gutteral
growls and occasional clean, yet still extreme vocals. Sergio
and Alessandro trade off with melodic death metal riffs that are
sharp and never get muddled in the overall mix.
Assisting with the recording of this disc was Tommaso Talamanca of
the Italian death metal band Sadist. Talamanca obviously has
helped the band as the overall recording has a strong enough
production to compete with bands that have label support.
