Along the lines of Pittsburgh's Marked By The Medicine, A
Farewell Fire is a four-piece band from New York who have
recently released their self-financed, ten track CD "The Thin
Line Between". A Farewell Fire crosses modern metal
influences with traditional metal sounds making for a hybrid
that actually comes across sounding pretty good. While
there is a quite a bit of aggro vocals by Billy Moros, their are
hints in the cleaner vocals of Zak Stevens. Overall, A
Farewell Fire definitely leans towards the modern metal sounds
without the rap core / metal core annoyances.
