Similar yet different would be an a proper analogy of Peppino
D’Agostino & Stef Burns' Bayshore Road release. Burns has
played with San Francisco based Y&T, Sheila E. (who appears on
the CD providing percussion), Alice Cooper and currently is a
member of Huey Lewis and the News. DiAgostino is an
Italian self-taught guitarist who is known more for his earthy
feel for the guitar. Musically, Bayshore Road has a breezy
feeling to the release as opposed to a shred fest. The
album also includes the jazzy Joe Zawinul standard "Birdland"
which many people may have heard unknowingly during halftime of
your local high school football game. Overall D'Agostino
and Burns provide a very refreshing and enjoyable summertime
instrumental release.
