M.O.D.'s "The Rebel You Love To Hate" is probably
one of the funniest and brutally honest CD's you will ever hear. (Gotta
love the play on the MSG logo for cover art) Retaining their thrashy riffs with
an updated enough sound as not to be dated, M.O.D. takes on the many ills of
today's society in rather humorous, yet to the point lyrics. Lead track
"Wigga" says it all in respect to lilly white suburban "gangstas"
and their lack of fashion and common sense. Other victims of Billy
Milano's wrath are Arabic terrorists, the politically correct and that a$$hole
lead singer from System Of A Down; Serj, who considers the USA a terrorist
state. (Wouldn't it be great to see Billy dive off a cabinet rack onto
that morons head?). M.O.D. also cuts loose with a cover of Kiss's
"Get Ready" to lighten up the atmosphere. In all, Billy and
company let their opinions be known without fear of liberal backlash and the
scorn of the manufactured popular culture. "The Rebel You Love
To Hate" is a timely, instantly gratifying CD.
