According to Blabbermouth.net, based on
numbers from SoundScan, Cannibal Corpse is the best selling death
metal band in the USA since numbers began being kept in 1991.
Granted, SoundScan counts one CD sold in Wal-Mart as actually seven
sold overall, so I am sure their counts are extremely accurate.
No wonder white trash fans bands show such high sales figures!
Getting back to the Cannibal Corpse, "The Wretched Spawn" is no different and
thus, a dependable disc from this legendary extreme metal band.
As listed below, the titles and the music still spew the same
venomous wrath as they did during the "Butchered At Birth" era in
1991. The cover art is still disturbing, but not as busy as
some past releases. The Corpsegrinder still sounds like he is
gargling razor blades and the Paul's drumming is still incredibly
fast complimented by Pat and Jack's guitars. Still insane
after all these years, Cannibal Corpse is still a dependable what
you hear is what you get band.
